Qualifications will happen at 3PM the same day at Studio Party Time (2366 Rue Galvani, Quebec, QC, Canada).Only 8 crews will be selected to qualify for the show the same night. BE THERE ON TIME OR YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO COMPETE!!! The non-qualified crews will have to pay their tickets to attend the show.

Qualifications - Saturday June 6th from 3PM to 5PM

At first, we weren't suppose to allow spectators to the qualifications. After some demand to attend the qualifications, we have changed our minds to meet the demands. People not participating in the qualification will have to pay a small fee of 5$ to attend the qualifications. Competing dancers are still getting in for free.

Description
The qualifications are required. They will determine the order of all the groups. Only the 8 best groups will be selected to compete in the evening. The others will have to pay their tickets to watch the show in the evening.

Description of the qualifications
Each crew will battle against an opposing crew randomly choosen. Each battle will be judged on the performance of each crew and will be given a score. It is therefore possible that two crews that compete against each other are both selected to compete in the evening if their score is ranked as one of the top eight crews.

Rules
During qualifications, each dancer will only be able to do one round. No commando / routine will be accepted due to a time restriction. The use of a commando / routine will cause a penalty on the score sheet.

Music
The music will be randomly choosen and not mixed by a DJ.


Competition - Saturday June 6th from 7PM to 11PM

1 - The crew must be composed of 4 dancers.

2 - No aggressive physical contact will be tolerated and will disqualify the group immediatly.

3 - In the unlikely event of an even decision by the judges, a dancer selected from each crew will have to do one round. The first dancer to go will be determined by a random draw. The dancers will then be evaluated against the said round.

4 - One round per crew should be respected. A passage will include the participation of a single dancer except in the case of a group commando/routine. No round-robbing is allowed and will be deducted accordignly on the score sheet.

5 - Only the movements performed during the time allowed for the battle will be evaluated.

6 - A dancer of a group is not allowed to judge the event if there is a dancer of the crew participating in the competition.

The duration of the battles will be respectively 8, 10 and 15 minutes for the quarter-final, semi-finals and finals.

All these rules are subject to change without notice.

Evaluation Criteria

The competition will be evaluated based on the response to the last round. With that in mind, the dancers will have :

- To demonstrate creativity in the execution of their movements (originality)
- A connection between music and the timing of their movements (musical)
- A complexity of execution of movements (difficulty)
- A balance in the use of powermoves and dancing (versatility)
- The precision of their movements (precision)
- The attitude on stage (performance)
